The Sustainable Mobility Package (FMD) - Former mileage allowance
This system allows employers to cover the home-work travel costs of employees using so-called "soft" means of transport, i.e. those carried out by bicycle or electrically assisted bicycle.
You will be compensated 0.23 cents per kilometer traveled. The amount covered by your company is capped at 500 euros per year and per employee. This coverage can be combined with your public transport subscription, up to a limit of 600 euros per year.
The sustainable mobility package allowance is also exempt from tax and social security contributions. What more could you ask for!
Please note, however, that the employer is not obliged to cover your home-work expenses by bike and therefore to pay you a sustainable mobility package.
If the employer decides to set up this allowance, he will have to ask you for proof of payment or a sworn statement regarding the actual use of your bicycle or electrically assisted bicycle.
Cycling is on all fronts, companies have understood this well. By encouraging its practice, they become green and it is all to your advantage! You will no longer have any excuses to get back in the saddle!
